I have had a keen interest in photography ever since I can remember, but it wasn't until I studied black and white printing and developing for Art during my HSC, that my love for it expanded significantly. Some 17 years later, and after a large amount of dabbling, I have since rekindled my love for photography. My Minolta film SLR is now semi retired, and I have moved into the world of digital where I am enjoying the huge learning curve it has to offer!
Believe it, or not, I used to be terrified of thunderstorms, particularly at night, where I would be cowering underneath the covers! Eventually, the fear became the fascination, and the more I learnt, the more I love them! I am also enjoying all aspects of weather and have installed a weather station on the roof at home, which feeds live data to this site. I have since become a member of The Australian Severe Weather Association, and more recently joined the Bureau of Meteorology's Storm Spotter Network.
I also have a great love for all things musical. I grew up learning the recorder at Primary school, then moved on to the clarinet and trumpet during Secondary School, following closely with the bass guitar and piano! All through which I was enjoying singing in choirs and various competitions at school. I am now joint lead and backing singer of the cover band Playback, performing semi part time at various Weddings and Corporate functions. We are comprised of 6 members and play a variety of music from the 1960's to current chart hits.
I currently reside in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs with my Husband and 2 Children....always watching the skies with the camera not too far away!
